Earth Hour 2009

From WWF Malaysia

On 28 March 2009 millions of people around the globe will unite for one hour and switch off their lights to show that they care about our living planet.
62 countries including Malaysia have committed to participate in WWF’s Earth Hour in 2009. This will be the first time Malaysia officially takes part in Earth Hour and our Prime Minister, Dato' Seri Abdullah bin Ahmad Badawi has indicated his support and endorsement of Malaysia’s participation.

The campaign, which hopes to reach out to more than one billion people in 1000 cities around the world, encourage individuals, businesses and governments to switch off lights for just one hour on Saturday March 28, 2009 at 8:30PM to convey their support for action on climate change. Cities already committed to Earth Hour include Los Angeles, Las Vegas, London, Hong Kong, Sydney, Rome, Manila, Oslo, Cape Town, Warsaw, Lisbon, Singapore, Istanbul, Mexico City, Toronto, Dubai and Copenhagen.

2009 is a critical year in terms of the political decisions that will be made at global climate negotiations in December 2009. Earth Hour, aims to highlight the voice of the people of the world and represent a visual mandate for meaningful policy on climate change.

International Earth Day

Have you do some recycling recently? If not, start doing today as it is International Earth Day!

Do you know that if we do not start recycling now, what will happens in ten (10) years time or in future? I can imagine that the ozone layers are getting thinner and thinner and the air is no longer healthy to breath in. The earth will be covered in rubbish just as you can seen in animation Wall.E.

Start recycling today by reducing plastic bag usage. Instead, get yourself a reuseable recycling bag where you can get in most shopping malls nowadays.

Another thing you can do is that support the Earth Hour 2009.

Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th..........it is only happens once in a year or sometimes twice in a year. This year it has twice - today, 13 March 2009 and 13 November 2009.

Call it baseless fear, an illogical apprehension or an urban legend, Friday the 13th is here today.......... And it is here with all its string of phobias or maybe superstitions.

I still remembered that my birthday in 2007 was falled on the Friday the 13th too. But believe it or not, I have nothing bad going around me that day. Or it is just the myth that people created?

Dream Day

It's Dream Day!

So catch a snooze whenever you want and lose yourself in the dream world or stay awake and let your imagination go wild! Dreaming is an alternative way to achieve what you desired in real world. At least you dreamed having it emotionally. :P

Quill

Quill was aired on 8TV today but I missed the early part. I only started to watch it when the Quill's owner was admitted to the hospital. Well, that part onward is a very touching part as it show that Quill is very loyal to the owner and understand that his responsibility is to take care the owner in whatever conditions.

Despite that I been watched the movie for few times, I still cry very sadly especially when Quill is dying in his god-parents company. I cried sobbingly when the narrator said that Quill is finally passed away peacefully.

Ken is even teased me crying despite that I been watched the movie few times. He asked that if I watched for 100 times, shall I cry for 100 times? Well, to the truth, I might as I do not watch the movie 100 times everyday. :P
