Week Six (6)

We went to break the good news to my Mummy, auntie and grandpa of my mother's side. They are so happy that I am pregnant. Mummy and aunties share some of their personal experiences to me. Give me some advices and etc.

Later, we went to the gyne again as scheduled. The gyne asked me whether my breasts are swollen. I answered yes and it is so painful. He said it is good that I have experience the swollen and painful more now because it shows that the embryo is growing and my hormones are changing. He then do an ultrascan on me to see whether the embryo has heartbeat. I silly questioned:

"So early can already detect whether the embryo has heartbeat?"

"Yes," the gyno answered ina simple sentence.

I can see the embryo in the monitor and it is larger in size now. The embryo is now 1.5cm and aged 6 weeks and 3 days. Then, come the exciting part! The gyno shows me my little embryo heartbeat. It beats slowly and dimly in the monitor. I quickly asked Ken come nearer to see. I am so exciting. For the first time, I can see my little embryo beat on its own. No wonder sometime I can sense that my heartbeat beats faster compare to usual. It is because my embryo beats together with me!

After seeing my little embryo has its own heartbeat, it feels like every hard moments (morning sickness, vomitting, tiring and etc) I gone thru these few weeks are paid off. I see the embyro growing and growing each day in my uterus - fighting to be born to see me and his Daddy. I am so happy about it.......

As usual, the gyne gave me an injection, medicine and asked me to stay home and rest more. The embryo is still unstable and need my protection to protect it.I am wondering what my little embryo will be next week. Can't wait for next week to see him again.

Week Five (5)

Today we went to the gyne to do check-up again as scheduled. The gyne asked me some confirmation questions such as do I have my period and if my breasts are swollen. I answered no period and my breasts are swollen. Then the gyne said that he will check with the ultrascan to detect the location of the embryo. After a minute searching for it, finally the gyne detected something.

The embryo appeared in the ultrascan's screen for the first time! For the first time, I see my little tiny embryo growing inside me! I am so excited! So is Ken. Althought it only measured at about 10mm, both of us are so happy to see the embryo. According to the gyne, the embryo is aged 5 weeks and 3 days. I am a bit disappointed when the gyne told me that I only have one embryo despite that I have three (3) ovums for the last cycle.

Well, in the same time, it also relieved us cause it is not twin or triple. Or else, we have to start to think a lot of things to prepare especially financially. The gyne gave me some medication and another injection.

He told me many many times not to go anywhere even shopping or do heavy duties jobs. But I never been the good girl :P. I went to Awana Kijal to join my ex-schoolmates gathering on that very night itself. I am really naughty not listening to the gyne advice. But I never go extreme stuffs or activities. Just sit around and walk around.

I should take care myself more carefully now in order to protect my little one inside me................
