Maxis Broadband

After my half day training at All Media office, Ken and I went to apply for landline for Pelangi Utama as we needed to use Internet for my work as well as Ken's online business. I purposely taken half day off just for this reason. We waited for quite some time before our turn. Finally, it is our turn and we headed to the selected counter. We handed in the application form and waited again for the officer in charge to process.

After about 10 minutes, he finally voiced out that application for Pelangi Utama will takes at least one (1) month due to no more access point at the moment. Both Ken and I was so surprised that it takes that long and we feedbacked to the officer that we need it urgently. He informed us that he cannot do anything as it is beyond his control. However, he mentioned that Telekom is aware of the situation and the access point for Pelangi Utama is in progress now.

He suggested us to apply for the landline while waiting for the access point to be available. In no choice condition, we have to follow his suggestion. He done the necessary documentation. We also requested Flora Damansara landline to be terminated as well as the Internet account.

Then, we went to Taman Tun Dr Ismail's Celcom Centre as Ken is urgently needed Internet connection for his online business. We enquired about the Celcom broadband but we find it not a good package as we need to fork out money to purchase the USB modem. Eventhough the monthly charge is affordable but currently we do have that amount of money to purchase the USB modem.

So, we walked out from the Celcom Centre and headed towards the Maxis Centre across the street. We enquired some basic information and in less than five (5) minutes, we agreed to apply for Maxis Broadband. Although the monthly charge is slightly higher than Streamyx, about RM138 per month, it is still cheaper than the Celcom broadband as we do not need to fork out money to buy the USB modem. The officer in charge has warned us that the connection in high level (after fifth floor) is not that good but as for the moment, we do not have any other choices. Previously, we have compared about the other wireless broadband like iZZi but all the offers requires upfront payment where we cannot afford right now.

On top of the good package (free USB modem and affordable use then pay monthly charge) that Maxis offered, the officer in charge also informed us that if we have postpaid voice account, we can get some rebate on the broadband monthly charges. Hearing that, without hestitation, we quickily convert Ken's number into postpaid account so that we can enjoy monthly RM20 off the broadband charge.

Finally, we bought home the Maxis USB broadband. Unfortunely, the limited edition of "wild" USB broadband (the outlook of the USB broadband is based of wild animals theme like ladybug, frog, zebra and etc) is out of stock. Thus, we only take the ordinary look of the USB broadband which just stated "Maxis Broadband".

No News on the Parking Bay

There is no call from the developer office as they promised to call on the resolution on my complaint, the beam over limit into our parking bay.

So, I have to make my way to the developer office. The Chinese man informs that there is no news from the headquarter yet. He promised to call me if there is any news from the headquarter.

Then, I asked him usually what the headquarter suggested to do. I asked if the developer will assign me a new parking lot. He said the possibility is low as all the parking bay has been sold out. He said that perhaps the headquarter will instruct to re-draw the parking bay line (the yellow line that separate the bay size).

"What!"

That is my first impression that cames to my mind. They are going to re-draw the parking bay line? That is the first time I heard something like this. Thinking back, well, that is the only and best resolution they can offered to my complaint since there is no more parking bay available. If not, what else can I suggest?

Ken said that the other two (2) parking bays, if look properly, are actually bigger a bit that ours. So, maybe it is true that developer over drawn the parking bay last time. *sigh*
