Is been a very exciting week for me and Ken. It is the day we get to know our baby's gender (that everyone is asking me about for the past few weeks)!
The beginning week was teribble week for me as I hoping Friday was just next hour so that I can go to visit the gyne. The reason is simply. I CAN'T WAIT TO KNOW MY BABY GENDER!!!
From the beginning week, I keeping asking Ken to guess what is the baby gender. One day, he get frusturated and tell me that I am being so annoying because I keep asking the same question again and again. Finally, he said that whether it is - a baby boy or baby girl, he will still love the baby as much he loves me. He said he would not neglect the baby whether it is a baby boy or baby girl.
Finally the moment of truth has come. Ken and I waited patiently at the sitting area for our turn. Luckily the patients are not much that night. About 10 minutes of waiting, finally the nurse called out my name. It is my turn. I waited patiently for the gyne and finally he came in. He informed me that I am in 20 weeks pregnant. I asked if the baby gender can be determined now because I need to buy some baby clothes. He said yes. He do ultrasound on me and I can see my baby in the monitor. The gyne informed that he growth into the correct size. The head skeleton and brain developed in the correct size. The spine is in good structure and shown me my baby heartbeat. I asked if I can hear the baby's heartbeat but the gyne informed that if he can see the heartbeat in the scan, he would not do the heartbeat hearing.
Then, he showed me the baby's tights. Finally he said,
"Here is the place where we can see the baby gender", pointing the exact location in between the baby small little tights.
Ken moved closer to the monitor so he can see clearer I suppose.
"Is a baby girl?" finally the gyno uttered with the sound of question mark in his tone.
"Oohh..........it is a baby girl?" I asked in excitement.
"It would not be wrong, right?" I asked the gyno.
"It would not be mistaken", he said.
I am so happy that I forgotten to ask him take a sonogram for me.
After we are out from the clinic, in the car, Ken informed that he is not 100% sure and confirm if it is a baby girl as he cannot see clearly in the monitor and secondly the baby tight is moved up when the gyne scan that area. I assured him that we can always double confirm with the gyne on our next visit next month. Nevertheless, he is happy that it is a baby girl. He informed his sister so that his sister can inform my parents-in-law.
